This course focuses on two key areas in bioinformatics: Gene Prediction and Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) analysis. Gene prediction involves identifying genes within a DNA sequence and predicting their locations and functions, which is critical for genome annotation. Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) analysis, on the other hand, involves understanding the complex network of interactions between proteins, which plays a vital role in cellular functions. Students will learn how to use bioinformatics tools to predict genes and analyze PPIs to better understand the molecular mechanisms of biological systems.
